What a long fucking day. Not looking forward to tomorrow either. The only relief I have in April is the vacaction, and thank God. The rest of the month is work work work. One of these day's I am going to snap and say fuck it and leave.

I was reading my Time magazine at work today in between shit, and there was an article with CEO of ChevronTexaco, Dave O'Reilly. ChevronTexaco announced it's biggest profit in history recently. Well no shit, I just paid $2.25 for gas today. Oh yeah prices are up because of.... pick whatever excuse you want here...... They're up so the oil companies can make more money, duh. I guess compared to the 70s, and 80s with inflation accounted for, prices are lower now than then. He assured us that most of their oil comes from other places other than the middle east, and that drilling in the Artic Wildlife Refuge will only hurt 1% of the refuge, and that Alaskans support the drilling. He also stated that there is plenty of oil on the planet.
Gotta love this bit of propaganda.

Lot of crazy shit in the magazine today. I guess the U.S. finally decided that putting a juvenile on death row was a bad idea. (I just love this country) One of the supreme court justices changed his mind. Scalia of course supports children being put on death row, wait isn't he pro-life? oh I mean anti-choice. Good thing one of them decided that kids shouldn't be sentenced to death.

What Political Party Do Your Beliefs Put You In?
created with QuizFarm.com

I actually identify as being libertarian more than anything. I am for a very small government and as much personal freedom as possible. Keep the roads paved, the water drinkable, and stay the fuck out of my business.
The difference between republicans and democrats are the special interest groups that attach themselves to one or the other. But like Mark says, they are both the same. Kerry and Bush are both members of the skull & bone club. Some secret society type of thing for a bunch of men from old money that are all the same no matter which party affiliation.

Buona Pasqua!
Not that I give a shit really about Easter. Going to eat with the fam, and then over to my G-ma's to eat dessert. She makes this kiss ass cheese pie every year at Easter which the highlight of the holiday really. I can't wait to eat it!
Otherwise I am not in the mood to see everyone right now. Too much time in one day with my mother drives me up the wall and I have been seeing enough of her lately. I just assume visit my G-ma w/o mom around really. Maybe I head by there after my mom leaves. My mom is cool one on one, but with everyone else around she can really bug me. She just acts differently. I hate when people do that shit.
I want to start getting Mark's bathroom ready to paint tonight. I need to have the family shit done by 6pm at the latest.
Next weekend my dad will be in town with his new puppy and staying at my house. I only see him every 3-4 months so it is good when I do see him.

I wish it was sunny today it would help my over all mood. I can't drink b/c I am on antibotics, which sucks b/c drinking makes family events better. The other alternative makes me want to talk to them even less.
I like seeing G-ma but it is always the same questions. That is how it is with old people and people you don't see very often.

Well time to get going to the fun.

I should bitch about it less I guess.

Good thing this week is about over. Just 2 more weeks until our vacation, whoo hoo!
I rented a car this morning so while we're out there we won't be reliant on people to pick us up and what not. It was pretty cheap which is good. Trying to get everything planned this weekend. Well tentatively. Half the time we'll stay at Triple's and the other half at my cousin's. So we have to arrange which days where.
Until then I will be working alot and doing family shit.
Tomorrow will be a long one, starting out at the doctor's bright and early. I never know when my closings will be on fridays. Usually they'll let me know the night before so I have some idea, but not today, so I'll have to wait until tomorrow. Hopefully they'll be after 1pm so I can get other shit done tomorrow. Saturday we are heading to Cinci to see Mark's family, and then Sunday I have the Easter crap here. We are going to Buca di Beppo at my suggestion. Usually I go to my aunt's and eat way better Italian the Buca could ever manage, and then head to my mom's. Her easter dinner isn't the best, I normally make some kick ass deviled eggs however. I will probably still make them. But I suggested Buca, which saves everyone time on cooking, and perhaps will equal less time with the family. But I won't be able to go to my aunt's which is too bad b/c everyone else is over there for easter. Grandma, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. But I did get to see Teresa's new baby this week. Isabella Giovanna. She has black hair, and dark eyes, and dark olive skin. Luckily this one took after Teresa. But mom made reservations for 1pm, which is about the same time my aunt has hers.
But Buca is good, and the have cannoli.

Well time for bed.

Thanks to the patriate act I'm sure, employers are starting to run credit checks on potential and current employees. Maybe they will, maybe the won't, but they have the right too. Ben was saying that in his job pursuits they were running credit checks, and today at work we all got so memo about them running credit checks on everyone. Law says...
Recently when Mark bought a lotto ticket they asked to scan his I.D.
Even doing closings there are weird documents now relating to the patriate act.
All of it seems pretty fucked up to me.

Can't wait to move out of this country.

Domenica

Figured I should update the blog. I've had a fairly relaxing weekend which was nice. Took the day off Thursday to go to the St. Patty's day parade and drink. I was fairly toasted by 1:30. Did shots of wiskey, which I don't think that I have done since last year's St. Patrick's day. Sort of sobered up to teach in the evening. So I only had to work 3.5 hours thursday which was nice. Friday I just had one closing in the afternoon, so I only worked 2.5 hours Friday. No work this weekend. It has been great! I needed a break from that shit. But this week is going to suck. Back to the 40 hour plus week :(
After April I am going to need to work on eliminating one of my jobs so I can enjoy the nice weather. There is nothing worse than waking up to a nice day and having to go to work.

Almost Hump Day

Well the song on the blog is probably nice, but I wouldn't link to the website to get your very own. My computer at home is fucked. Well, it was having problems before, but the day I got on there to get a song for the blog is the day shit really hit the fan. After having the website open for a while while I was deciding on a song and adding it to the blog, it started popping up all these banners and shit. After a while shit had been added to my desk top, etc. I had to turn the computer off. Matthew said the pop up shit with the banners happened to him too. I think the computer was already on its way, but that did it in. Ben and Mark have been trying to fix it, but now it is even worse. So we are going to have to reinstall everything. But LaJuane has the disks, you know how long that shit may take to get. No offense LaJuane, but you are king of procrastination.
(unless you are cleaning something, haha)

I think as soon as I have some extra money (LOL) I will be buying a mac.

Got to see Garfield over the weekend for his 6th birthday. He is the same old Garfield. I miss having my cats around, but at least I know Garfield is in good hands with Matthew. Not sure about Birk with my brothers though. Jason said he is doing fine, I need to get over there to check on him.

Looking forward to St. Patrick's day thursday. I took the day off to go to the parade and drink. Got some green stuff to wear. I'll only moderately be drinking during the day, still have to teach in the evening, don't want to stink like whisky for the kiddies. But plan on hitting the local Grandview Irish pubs in the evening. For those of you w/o jobs, you are more than welcome to come to the parade downtown with me. weather.com says it will be in the upper 40s, lets hope so, last year it was pretty cold. Hitting the bars around 8:30 in the evening.

Luckily most closings are scheduled in the afternoon and evening so I will have some recovery time on Friday. Hopefully I won't have to work almost 11 hours like last friday. Not fun, but no going thursday will help.

For tomorrow:
They are planning on voting if the will drill the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Call to ask your reps to support an amendment not to drill in the wildlife refuge. For ohio call:

I added a blog to the list. He made a comment on my blog once, so I checked out his. It is a good one.

Having free time on my hands really does make me feel like I am going crazy. If it was warm out I could at least be out side enjoying it. If it was warm out there would also be a little light left in the sky about now.
Went to chicago last weekend for Al and Rachael's wedding. It was a nice wedding, and it was good seeing alot of people, and getting out of Columbus. It was my first Jewish wedding. It was nice because it wasn't in a church, no Jesus talk, and half it was in Hebrew, so didn't understand it anyway, and a shorter cermony than most weddings I've been to. Luckily the weather wasn't too bad. The day of the wedding was almost 60 degrees. As for Chicago, I still prefer New York city, as far as big cities go. Next month we'll be in San Fran, so we'll see how we like out there.
Al and Rachael are going to Italy for their honey moon this week, lucky, lucky.

Website to figure out metabolic rate. But I think you can go to Bally's where they can do a test that is probably more accurate.
